A leading financial institution is seeking a Senior VP for Transaction Services in Iberia. The role focuses on growing the Daily Banking business, managing complex cash mandates, and improving client relationships. Overview

At ING we are looking for a TS Sales Cash Consultant Iberia. The role is for a senior VP transaction services position with strong payment and cash management background, joining our Transaction Services (TS) team of Wholesale Banking Spain & Portugal.

Key responsibilities
  • Grow the Daily Banking business and increase profitability through origination of new TS mandates within the Wholesale Banking client portfolio in Spain and Portugal.
  • Origination and Business development: generate new TS share of wallet deals with existing clients and new clients across sectors locally and through ING’s network; deliver on challenging revenue targets within ING risk framework; collaborate with local head of TS and product management to define strategy, commercial plan, and new product developments.
  • Transaction execution: manage and advise on sizeable and complex cash mandates end-to-end, negotiate TS solutions and pricing agreements with clients, coordinate structuring and execution with TS Cash Advisory & Structuring Central team in Amsterdam, monitor implementations to guarantee proper delivery according to agreements.
  • Customer relationship management: improve and maximize cross-buy of TS solutions, act as trusted advisor to prospects and clients, review operational existing clients to maintain contracts and identify risks and opportunities, keep close eye on daily banking services provided by Client Services teams, perform client profitability analysis to assess business trends.
  • Risk & Portfolio management: monitor existing portfolio in close consultation with risk management, operate under KYC guidelines.
  • Knowledge Management: contribute to innovation and development of new TS solutions, attend client events to position ING TS value proposition, maintain high level of technical knowledge on industry and TS products especially cash products.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Economics, Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience working with Iberian clients in originating, negotiating and implementing cash management solutions.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of PCM and Liquidity product catalog including Payments, Collections, Channels, Cash & Liquidity solutions, Cash pooling.
  • Knowledge of Trade products (Bank guarantees, Receivables and Supply Chain Finance) will be highly valued.
  • Excellent commercial skills and ability to excel in originating TS opportunities.
  • Ambitious entrepreneur that combines client focus with delivery power and strong results orientation.
  • Ability to display style flexibility to teams and adapt plan approach and behavior to different needs and situations.
