An international insurance company based in Bilbao is seeking a Senior Java / Kotlin Architect. You will be responsible for architecture and design decisions while developing innovative software solutions using R3 Corda Distributed Ledger Technology. Ideal candidates will have strong Java and Kotlin experience, and proficiency in English, with Spanish as a plus. This role emphasizes collaboration in an international environment and mentoring customers for successful IT integration.

Formación

• High interest in R3 Corda Distributed Ledger Technology (Blockchain).
• Experience in architecture and design of complex software applications.
• Proven expertise in software development with Java, preferably Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Jenkins; knowledge of JUnit and Hibernate is a plus.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish would be advantageous.

Overview

Senior Java / Kotlin Architect & Development

As a Senior Java / Kotlin Architect & Development you are responsible for architecture and design decisions and actively contribute to the further development of our Integrations application.

Your responsibility

• Further (front and backend) tailor-made, but also pragmatic development of our software solution based on R3 Corda Distributed Ledger Technology
• Collaboration with technical experts - internally in our team as well as externally with our customers - also in an international environment
• Recording and evaluation of functional & technical requirements
• Creating and making architecture and design decisions
• Ensuring that our development team and our customers have a common understanding of the architecture, technical functionality and integration possibilities of our Integrations application.
• Active participation in code reviews and quality assurance to ensure that standards, some of which need to be redefined, are adhered to
• Identifying risks and vulnerabilities in the architecture and design of our software solution and developing solutions to address them
• Mentoring and training - internally and with our customers - to ensure that our Integrations application can be smoothly introduced and integrated into our customers' IT landscape
• Development, customization and connection of new interfaces from our integrations application to customers and / or external third-party platforms and vice versa
• Second and third level support together with our business & technical team

Your qualification

• High interest in the further development of a software solution based on R3 Corda Distributed Ledger Technology (Blockchain)
• Experience in architecture and design of complex software applications
• Proven expertise in software development with Java, preferably Kotlin
• You are familiar with Jenkins and preferably also with JUnit and Hibernate
• Experience in front-end and back-end development
• Knowledge of TypeScript and Angular is a plus but not a must-have
• Interest in working with technical experts to jointly take up requirements and develop technical solutions for them
• You tackle challenges without reservation, demonstrating high expectations of your own performance
• You are able to develop strong, stable relationships with internal and external clients and orient your own behavior rigorously to their needs
• Proficiency in English is a must, Spanish would be advantageous
