As a Senior Electronics ASIC Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge medical devices, with a strong emphasis on advanced medical electronic systems. You will lead the development of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) that are part of an implantable neurostimulation system.

You will be at the forefront of bringing advanced healthcare solutions to market, making a tangible difference in people’s lives worldwide.

Your profile
Main Responsibilities :
  • Lead the development of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) that are part of an implantable neurostimulation system.
  • Architect technical concepts and assess their feasibility.
  • Generate intellectual property.
  • Translate system requirements into ASIC and interface requirements.
  • Manage external IC design houses in the outsourced design, simulation, manufacturing, testing, and validation of the ASICs.
  • Support the integration and process development related to ASIC integration into the neurostimulation system.
  • Apply risk management and perform design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA) on designs.
  • Initiate and lead design reviews and technical reviews.
  • Define test strategies to verify electronic systems against product and manufacturing requirements.
  • Apply DFR / DFM / DFT (Design for Reliability, Manufacturing, and Test), including modeling, analysis, and statistical analysis.
  • Participate in system integration, verification, and validation.
Qualifications and Soft skills :
  • BSc or MSc in Integrated Circuit Design, Electronics Engineering.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a relevant medical device development environment, with experience in a full development cycle.
  • Experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design for (implantable) medical devices.
  • Experience in the full development cycle of an ASIC including design, simulation, manufacturing, verification, and validation.
  • System-thinking attitude, ability to identify potential improvements and develop plans.
  • Strong understanding of (Medical) Risk Analysis and FMEA.
  • Experience managing projects outsourced to IC design subcontractors.
  • Experience in verification test design and execution.
  • Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Determination to develop yourself and others.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and acting.
  • Fast learner, self-motivated, proactive, able to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to have :
  • Experience in digital IC design and development.
  • Familiarity with medical device development standards.
  • Experience in neuroscience.
