About The role

A Cloud Architect is a holistic thinker who drives and evolves a complex technical vision with their deep knowledge of the Cloud. Able to straddle business and technical concerns creates options and solutions that address business needs and longer‑term strategic concerns.

This role will be part of Cloud Community of Excellence and will have a key contribution in defining and deploying cloud strategy, guidelines and best practices with focus on integrations and developments related to SAP RISE. This role will be part of the multidisciplinary team with resources from other IT areas (security, data,...), enabling from strategy to execution.

It will report to the Head of Cloud inside the Technology department and will have a key role in the SAP Rise process, guaranteeing and deploying resources clouds, necessary for the intragration with SAP Rise that meet the highest quality standards and follow corporate strategy and guidelines.

The Cloud Architect will be a hands‑on professional, actively involved in the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions, ensuring practical execution and technical excellence.

He / she will be a key player throughout the whole product lifecycle from design to operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud architectures that support SAP RISE environments, ensuring high availability, resilience, and compliance with corporate standards.
• Integrate SAP services with cloud platforms, including secure connectivity, identity management, and data flow between SAP and other corporate applications.
• Define integration patterns for SAP RISE in multicloud environments (Azure, AWS GCP), considering hybrid connectivity and performance optimization.
• Support SAP deployments and configurations.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis and development teams to ensure cloud solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
• Develop and implement observability strategies for SAP integrations, incorporating metrics and alerts into monitoring platforms such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Manage security and compliance for SAP‑cloud integrations, applying DevSecOps principles and corporate policies.
• Define and maintain a roadmap for SAP‑related cloud services, aligning technical evolution with business needs.
• Manage and resolve issues related to cloud services and SAP integrations, ensuring operational continuity and rapid recovery from failures.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud environments with broad knowledge in platforms, communications and security.
• Familiarity with SAP RISE projects or SAP migrations to cloud.
• Familiarity with SAP integration tools (SAP Cloud Connector, SAP Integration Suite).
• Experience designing and implementing solutions with K8s and big data.
• Experience in multicloud solutions architecture with experience in Azure.
• Track record of complex migrations from on‑premise to cloud.
• Expert in infrastructure as code with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet or Ansible, as well as deploy said infrastructure with tools like Terraform.
• Experience in monitoring, logging and alerting with time series based tools like Grafana.
• Cloud services integration tools (ServiceNow, CloudForms...).
• Strong results orientation, OKR‑driven performance.
• Experience in DevSecOps environments and agile teams.
• Negotiation and communication skills.
• English proficiency.
