Our international client is on the lookout for a Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer with SQL knowledge. What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and optimise scalable Azure-based IT platforms that underpin global operations.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code delivery.
• Oversee and enhance Azure SQL / Synapse / Dedicated SQL Pool environments for performance and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure Data and MS-SQL technologies + services and best practices, advising on their implementation.
• Leverage SQLPackage (dacpac / Data-tier Applications) for automated database deployment and versioning.
• Drive code review, optimisation, and performance tuning across infrastructure and database components.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver cloud solutions that align with security and compliance standards.
• Design, develop, maintain and optimize robust and scalable IT platforms, with a focus on cloud (mainly Azure) services, to meet business needs and performance standards.

What we’re looking for

• Strong technical knowledge in Terraform and Azure Services incl. Azure Synapse.
• Skilled in Bash and PowerShell scripting, with solid understanding of JSON and YAML.
• Exposure to Python, networking, and security hardening is a plus.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions for version control and automation.
• Confident communicator and problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
