Responsibilities

• Help us optimize and scale our AWS infrastructure with a clear focus on proactive cost control.
• Take ownership of our cloud spend: audit AWS environment, implement cost‑saving measures (Savings Plans, instance right‑sizing), build Datadog dashboards and alerts to manage cost as a first‑class metric.
• Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules, optimize GitHub Actions pipelines, streamline container (Docker) workflows.
• Share day‑to‑day operational ownership, unblock developers, manage infrastructure requests.
• Scale core services: ensure infrastructure underpinning key services (EKS, AWS MQ) and data stack (Clickhouse, Airflow) is reliable, scalable, observable; work closely with data team.

Qualifications

• Deep AWS expertise: extensive hands‑on experience managing production workloads in AWS, strong understanding of core services (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS).
• Strong Kubernetes experience in production environments (design, deployment, scaling, troubleshooting).
• Expert in Terraform, manage infrastructure as code.
• EKS experience: demonstrable experience managing production container orchestration with AWS EKS.
• Experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) for speed and reliability.
• Experience with CNCF tools such as Argo CD, Traefik, Cert‑Manager, etc.
• Experience with data stack (Clickhouse, Airflow, AWS MQ / RabbitMQ); proficiency with Datadog or similar for observability and cost monitoring.
