Fastned is seeking a Senior Architect in Madrid to contribute to sustainable design and the transition to electric mobility. The role involves creating innovative station designs and coordinating with local teams and stakeholders. Ideal candidates have substantial architectural experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for sustainability.

Formación

• At least 6 years of solid experience as an architect.
• Experience with permit processes within Spain.
• Ability to discuss projects with local authorities.

Your role

As one of our first architects in Spain, you will contribute to the success of the company with your creative and spatial thinking, providing station designs that score the highest in customer experience and that integrate our modular Fastned stations into service areas along the highways. We are entrepreneurs at heart and building a more sustainable future is in our DNA.

Your role as an Architect is crucial to our multidisciplinary team. In your day-to-day job, you will spend most of your time with our local Madrid team. Besides that, you will also be connected to our architects in other countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Create initial design concepts based on the modular Fastned design standards.
• Make site visits for initial site assessments. Check the suitability of levels, access, procure survey information as necessary, and other key criteria.
• Create full architectural drawing packages required for planning applications.
• When necessary, produce technical drawing packages for tender and construction.
• Collaborate and coordinate with the in-house expansion and construction teams to provide high-quality design documentation in the agreed timescale.
• Collaborating and communicating with external stakeholders.

Who we are looking for

Most importantly : You are highly motivated by accelerating the energy transition and joining a fun company that is making a difference.

• You have at least 6 years of solid experience as an architect.
• You are convinced of the importance of branding & visual identity and you can apply traffic safety regulations to your own design proposals.
• You speak fluent Spanish and English.
• Solid working experience with Revit. Familiarity with Enscape is a plus.
• You can see yourself as an ambassador of Fastned and electric mobility.
• Think like a founder' is a statement you recognize yourself in.
• You can confidently discuss projects with local authorities and you have experience with permit processes within Spain.
