Role Overview

We are looking for a talented SAP ABAP Programmer to join our SAP development team in Madrid as part of a major SAP ECC 6.0 rollout project. This hybrid role combines on-site and remote work and involves working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain interfaces and custom developments in SAP ECC 6.0.

The ideal candidate has solid ABAP development skills, strong knowledge of interface technologies (IDoc, BAPI, RFC, ALE, Web Services), and experience in integrating SAP ECC with external systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ABAP programs in the SAP ECC 6.0 environment.
• Develop and enhance interfaces between SAP and external systems using technologies such as IDoc, BAPI, RFC, ALE, and Web Services.
• Work closely with functional teams (FI, CO, MM, SD, etc.) to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Support integration projects, ensuring data accuracy and system performance.
• Debug and optimize existing ABAP code for performance and maintainability.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developments and interfaces.
• Support testing cycles, go-live preparation, and post-go-live issue resolution.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure compliance with development standards and best practices.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP programming in an ECC 6.0 environment.

Strong experience with interfaces : IDoc, BAPI, RFC, ALE, and Web Services.

Knowledge of ABAP Objects, ALV, SmartForms, and SAPscript.

Experience in integrating SAP ECC with external systems.

Spanish : Fluent | English : Advanced.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural environment.

Nice to Have

Experience with proxy-based interfaces or PI / PO integration.

Knowledge of SAP Enhancement Framework, User Exits, and BAdIs.

Knowledge in Adobe Forms.

Exposure to international SAP rollout projects.

Understanding of functional processes in SAP FI, CO, MM, or SD.
