A leading luxury shopping destination in Madrid is seeking a sales professional to drive tourism initiatives and develop relationships with partners in the MICE sector. The successful candidate will manage tourism strategies to enhance visibility and promote the Village, while building strong ties with local hotels and tour operators. As part of our successful team of Tourism you you will develop the key and strategic relationships with local and national partners and supports the Senior Partnerships Manager with international partners developing MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) program, to promote the Village and attract cosmopolitan, savvy and sophisticated guests.

What you will be doing

The key responsibilities of this role will include some or all the following :

  • Promote the Village to consolidate Brand awareness and positioning as a leader of tourism experience in Madrid through the B2B travel.
  • Build, maintain and develop strong relationships with both local and national partners, including Destination Marketing Organizations, tour operators, travel agents, hotel chain groups, concierge associations, local attractions, and restaurants and others tourism partners.
  • Develop relationships with 4 / 5* hotels to build shopping packages, develop marketing opportunities to enhance the visibility of the company through the hotel channels and events, develop business of the MICE segment and work close with the hospitality and concierge department to reach the goals of sales from the hotels partners.
  • Build a MICE strategy to promote the Village as a recognizable venue for Incentives and as a viable add on for Meetings, exhibitions and Meetings
  • Partnership opportunities targeted at Congresses, events, tradeshows, etc..
  • Tailored packages for sale through third parties and via the online booking portal
  • Attend tourism Marketing events, trade shows, seminars as required

  • Proven experience in a sales position within the tourism industry and MICE industry, broad European / international experience would be advantageous
  • Experience in the tourism, hospitality or premium or luxury brand segments
  • Good knowledge of regional and national tourism activities and resorts
  • Experience with targeting inbound and outbound Tour Operators and DMCs
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to both work as a team and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel abroad
  • Fluent in English and local Village language, any other European language would be beneficial
