Role Overview

In GXO Europe, the responsibility for successfully delivering new implementations for our customers rests with our country cluster businesses. We are building expert capability at the European level to support the development and delivery of our most complex projects and to develop our people, templates, tools, and techniques to help our country teams develop and deliver complex projects with minimal central involvement.

We are looking for someone with deep expertise in planning, project management, and delivery of complex warehouse implementations. The candidate should be capable of building a framework to enable country teams to develop and grow their own expertise. Occasionally, the person in this role will take a leadership position on the most complex projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and meeting customer expectations.

This is a key role, mandated to deliver the maturation of GXO’s PMO delivery across Europe in close collaboration with regional leadership, reporting to the VP of Transformation and PMO, Europe.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and develop European-wide implementation and turnaround projects to deliver successfully on time, within budget, and achieve KPIs. Support teams responsible for execution and key projects/workstreams.
2. Co-develop, iterate with stakeholders, and deliver a PMO framework to mature and scale GXO’s ability to deliver complex implementations reliably, considering people, capability, tools, and templates.
3. Implement the framework across countries and sites, advocating warehouse implementation best practices based on the framework and your experience.
4. Lead and deliver high-profile implementation projects in collaboration with site teams, ensuring they meet business and customer expectations.
5. Support multifunctional site teams to ensure successful and seamless project implementation, on time and within budget.
6. Work with peers, regional leaders, and country managing directors to promote scalable, common practices across Europe to deliver projects efficiently as one team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a warehouse implementation project leader within a 3PL, managing multi-million Euro projects, including those with complex technology elements.
• Recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2, or equivalent).
• Strong project management and operational planning skills with experience managing multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to work anywhere within continental Europe and experience working across different cultures.
• Proficiency in at least one continental European language plus English; additional languages are a plus.
• Leadership ability and experience working in high-performing teams.
• Proactive, can-do attitude, comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines, often remotely.
• Ability to influence and assert at all levels, build strong relationships, and manage complexity and uncertainty.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% across Europe.
