ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a Junior Software Engineer with a passion for designing, coding, and debugging? Do you want to be part of a team that provides innovative solutions to dental professionals and patients around the world? If so, Straumann Group Software Centre in Madrid is the place for you!

Straumann Group is a global leader in dental implants and orthodontic solutions, and we are looking for a talented back-end software developer to join our team. As part of a growing team of specialists, you will develop software tools for dental professionals and patients, including dentists, surgeons, and dental technicians.

As a back-end software developer, you will work on a microservices-based architecture, using your expertise in Java to design and implement high-quality solutions. You will be part of an agile team that values collaboration and creativity, working in an international environment for a product-based company.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Design and develop microservices-based architectures
• Develop and manage databases
• Test software to ensure quality, data protection, and security
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software
• Write technical documentation
• Collaborate with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Identify opportunities for collaboration across international teams, work on cross-team commitments, and enable the work of others.

Requirements : Education

Higher education in software engineering, computer science, or a comparable field (e.g., medical informatics, healthcare electronics), or equivalent work experience.

Experience

3+ years of experience shipping commercial software as a back-end developer using Java with Spring Boot framework

Proficiency in microservices architectures

Experience with code management (Git), releases, and code quality

Experience with databases (e.g., Postgres, SQL Server)

Experience working in teams and leading communication

Professional fluency in English

Desirable :

Experience with healthcare software
