About the Role: As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing automation testing principles, practices, and standards throughout the software development lifecycle. You will support the business with test automation strategy, script development, execution, maintenance, defect management, and seamless integration with manual testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement test automation strategies to enhance efficiency and software quality.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Review software requirements to ensure testability and alignment with automation best practices.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA Analysts to determine the automation scope for projects.
• Identify, report, and track defects and issues, ensuring proper integration with manual testing efforts.
• Work with business stakeholders to assess the priority and severity of defects and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain and manage a test automation framework, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Ensure seamless integration of automation tools within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub).
• Conduct performance and load testing using tools like Apache JMeter to evaluate system behavior.
• Continuously improve and optimize test automation processes to align with business needs.
• Communicate test progress, automation coverage, risks, and blockers to project stakeholders.
• Engage with internal and external teams to resolve dependencies, propose automation solutions, and meet testing deadlines.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish & English is required.
• Prior experience in test automation and software quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies: Unit, System, Integration, Acceptance, Regression, Smoke, Load Testing (web applications).
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or similar.
• Familiarity with test case management tools (Zephyr within JIRA).
• Advanced knowledge of test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (Apache JMeter, Gatling).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD.
• Understanding of web application architecture, including PHP, Linux, and cloud environments.
• Strong SQL and database skills for test data validation.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts for web and API testing.
• Implementing and optimizing test automation frameworks for maintainability and scalability.
• Integrating test automation within CI/CD pipelines to support DevOps.
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using JIRA or similar tools.
• Performing exploratory testing alongside automation to uncover defects.
• Conducting regression, performance, and load testing to ensure system stability.
• Collaborating with developers, analysts, and DevOps teams on automation strategies.
• Analyzing test reports and logs to troubleshoot issues.
• Ensuring cross-browser and cross-platform test coverage.
• Desirable: Experience with online gaming systems or high-traffic web applications.
