Overview

Project Manager (Consulting), Galicia

FUNDINGBOX, a leader in funding, testing, monetizing deeptech solutions through startup and SMEs scaling as well as facilitating corporate open innovation, is seeking a self-driven Project Manager with sustainability driven innovation background to join our remote team, supporting our diverse workforce across Europe.

Key responsibilities
  • Work on a highly innovative project involving our client, one of the biggest global corporates, currently focusing on their sustainability strategy and ESG performance
  • Deliver quality research analysis, reports, presentations to support the client’s NetZero roadmaps, ESG initiatives, and compliance with frameworks such as CSRD, SFDR, and EU Taxonomy or similar
  • Attend the meetings (online) with the Client and third parties and contributing to discussion on global-level improvements, processes and business cases
  • Prepare reports, executive documents,summary of meetings, extracting key information and conclusions
  • Support the project team in daily management of ad-hoc tasks (often involving online research and presentation of the findings as decks and/or excel files)
  • Engage with the stakeholders acting around the Client
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, legal, communication, marketing, tech transfer, compliance, and admin teams
  • Follow the work schedules, key performance indicators, and deliverables to deliver expected results before deadlines
Essential requirements
  • An MBA/Engineering Masters/PhD degree plus
  • At least 8 years of innovation-related experience within the field of corporate sustainability, ESG strategy, water engineering, chemistry, circular economy or similar
  • Experience in preparing/executing international R&D projects
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards (e.g., CSRD, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, ISO 14064-1 or similar).
  • Experience with project management tools and platforms such as Google Drive, Analytics, Data Management systems, and collaborative platforms like HubSpot and Basecamp
  • Ability to create and deliver impactful executive presentations and reports, both in content and visual design, to effectively communicate ideas to high-level audiences
  • Positive attitude, detail-oriented, customer-focused, with strong multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Professional level of Spanish (C1) and English (C1)
  • Located in Galicia (Spain) is a must
  • Ability to work reliably remotely and use online coordination tools (this is a remote work arrangement with occasional office visits)
Nice to have
  • Hands-on experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder innovation projects in chemistry engineering and/or water-related technologies (i.e. water footprint, water waste, chemicals, etc.)
  • Experience in working with a multi-national corporate, with advanced model of supply chain management,particularly on sustainability reporting and emissions reduction
  • Proficiency in other languages
