The ideal candidate has over 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive sector, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Overview

Position overview:

As a Production Manager this role is in charge of ensure the fulfillment of the production targets and KPIs while leading a team of shift Leaders and reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

Key Tasks
  • • Ensure the achievement of general and production objectives (KPIs), operating in compliance with the directives received, plans and strategies approved by the Management, policies and business procedures.
  • • Guarantee the realization of the production programs, optimizing the available resources according to the defined needs (men, plants, materials), in compliance with the required time, quantity and quality and safety regulations.
  • • Guarantee the implementation of the tools of the Continuous Improvement, for the Operations area and with the support of the entities in charge according to the optimization activities to be carried out.
  • • Analyse if the production progress is consistent with the plan and take action to make changes to the program with the support of shift leaders through the analysis of production data.
  • • Provide its collaboration to shift leaders and other functions of plant/ central bodies for the proper performance of their work and the resolution of issues that emerge in daily life (Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Product Development, Resource Management).
  • • Analyse data related to anomalies related to product quality, scraps (SCRAP), returns (RPPM-WC), and act for the restoration of the standard in the event of anomalies or inconsistencies.
  • • Make sure that the handover between the shift leaders of the dismantling and the incoming shift takes place as required by the organisational procedures.
  • • Analyse all data related to production personnel (attendance, cause of absenteeism, holidays, overtime) and define/apply corrective actions when necessary.
  • • As a process owner of the manufacturing process, be responsible for carrying out/documenting the risk analysis related to your process, taking actions to manage risks and opportunities, defining contingency plans, as necessary for the management of identified risks (see IATF 5.1.1.3).
  • • Support the shift leaders in the optimization of production data and actions for the improvement of efficiency with the support of appropriate/defined bodies.
  • • Propose interventions or changes to Product - Process - Plants - Safety in order to ensure continuous improvement and actively collaborate in the implementation of proposals from plant resources or other sectors.
  • • Actively collaborate in the continuous improvement of the Plant, in line with the required contribution, in terms of procedures and processes, in compliance with the provisions and stated in the document O.I.P.
  • • Evaluate the human resources allocated in terms of performance and behavior and in reference to the Lear Leadership Model, draw up the resulting development plans for professional advancement, and coordinate their training and remuneration policy with the support of HR.
  • • Maintain profitable and effective continuous communication with trade union organizations in order to preserve a positive climate. Continually interface and share these relational strategies with the Plant Manager and HR Manager.
Key Requirements
  • • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience working in a manufacturing environment and leading teams.
  • • Experience in the automotive field would be a big plus.
  • • Fluent in both: English and Spanish
