About the Role :

CIT grows and we are seeking passionate and dedicated PYP IB Teachers to join our vibrant international school community at Colegio Internacional Torrequebrada in Benalmádena, Málaga. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the British National Curriculum in Primary and the IB PYP curriculum, fostering a rich learning environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Teach PYP and British National Curriculum engaging students.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to a diverse student body.
• Develop and continuously update unit of inquiry plans, ensuring alignment with IB and British National Curriculum standards and school objectives.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies through inquiry based learning.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to create cohesive and comprehensive instructional strategies working as a team.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
• Encourage students to actively participate in their own learning and foster a classroom environment of respect and inquiry.
• Participate in school community activities, including extracurricular programs and events, contributing to the holistic development of students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Primary teaching.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience teaching PYP or a similar curriculum in an international school setting.
• Strong understanding of the IB philosophy and framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Working permit for Spain.
