A leading automotive engineering company in Barcelona is seeking an experienced engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will define project targets, validate vehicle parts, and coordinate activities with project teams. Strong communication skills and experience in crash testing are essential, along with a degree in engineering. Candidates must be open to working in a multicultural environment and possess a medium to high level of English and German.

Responsabilidades

• Define project targets with the restraint system team.
• Validate and design vehicle parts.
• Coordinate activities with project teams and suppliers.
• Validate sensors and their positions in the car.
• Analyze FEM simulations and define crash test requirements.
• Supervise crash test activities and ensure compliance.
• Analyze test results and correlate with FEM models.
• Calibrate and validate Airbag Control Unit algorithms.

Descripción del empleo

Responsibilities

• Definition of project targets in agreement with the restraint system team
• Validation and active participation in the design of different areas and parts of the vehicle
• Coordination of activities with the different project teams and the supplier to ensure the correct development of the functions of the Airbag control unit
• Validation of the sensors and their position in the car
• Analyze FEM simulations
• Definition of crash tests requirements
• Supervision of crash test sensing activities ensuring compliance and development according to regulation and internal protocols
• Analysis of test results and correlation with FEM models
• Airbag Control Unit algorithm calibration
• Airbag Control Unit algorithm validation
• Validation of the central airbag functions

Qualifications

• Experience in crash testing environment and crash signals interpretation will be valued.
• Good communication skills and strong relationship building skills.
• Empathic proactive with team spirit and high level of assertiveness.
• Confident in discussions at different hierarchical levels.
• Flexible resourceful and able to multi-task while establishing priorities and providing solutions.

Education

• Engineering degree (desirable Mechanical Telecommunications or Electronics).

Languages

• A medium to high level of English is mandatory.
