Descripción de la vacante

Una empresa de tecnología espacial busca un Ingeniero Mecánico que participe en el diseño y desarrollo de hardware para satélites. Se requiere un título en Ingeniería Mecánica o Aeroespacial y experiencia previa, preferiblemente 2–3 años. El puesto es a tiempo completo y se encuentra en Málaga, España, ofreciendo un entorno innovador y proyectos internacionales de alto impacto.

Formación

  • Experiencia de 2–3 años en un puesto similar.
  • Dominio del inglés (hablado y escrito).

Responsabilidades

  • Diseñar sistemas mecánicos para aplicaciones espaciales.
  • Generar dibujos de fabricación y ensamblaje 2D.
  • Ejecutar análisis estructurales y evaluación de resultados.
  • Optimizar diseños mecánicos basados en resultados analíticos.
  • Participar en campañas de pruebas de calificación.

What is it like to be a Mechanical Engineer at DHV Technology?

As a Mechanical Engineer at DHV Technology, you will take part in the design and development of space hardware for our satellite power subsystems. You will be involved in all project phases, from concept to qualification, ensuring optimal mechanical performance of our products in a highly demanding and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

You will be engaged in all mechanical aspects of our projects, including but not limited to:

  • Design of mechanical systems for space applications.
  • Generation of 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings.
  • Preparation of design documentation, test procedures, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Execution of structural analyses and interpretation of results.
  • Evaluation and optimization of mechanical designs based on analytical results.
  • Selection and evaluation of materials suitable for aerospace environments.
  • Preparation of technical reports and design justification documentation.
  • Participation in qualification test campaigns both in-house and in specialized external laboratories.
  • Compilation of test reports and test as-run documentation.
Education and Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • A Master’s degree in Space Systems is desirable.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Availability to travel for testing activities.
Technical Competencies

Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • 3D mechanical design using SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar CAD tools.
  • Structural analysis using FEM tools (preferably FEMAP or similar).
  • Selection and use of metallic and composite materials.
  • Ability to understand and implement product requirements and customer specifications.
  • Knowledge of the Space Sector is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with ECSS standards and methodologies is an asset.
