Runnymede College is a private non‑denominational British school in Madrid offering a British education to boys and girls of all nationalities from the age of two to eighteen. The education offered follows the British National Curriculum.

Founded as a private school in September ****, the primary school was inaugurated in ****, and since ****, the whole School has been located in La Moraleja, in the north of Madrid. The School is divided into Pre‑Prep (Pre Nursery to Year 3), Prep (Years 4 to 8) and Senior School (Years 9 to 13).

Position

The school is looking to recruit an outstanding teacher of Mathematics to join our Senior School from 8th January ****.

Responsibilities

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced individual with the ability to teach up to IGCSE Mathematics. A level teaching will be available for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be passionate about Mathematics and be committed to achieving the very best for pupils at all levels. They will be able to engage and motivate pupils using effective methods of teaching and differentiation.

Requirements

• A good honours degree from a British University
• A PGCE or other equivalent qualified teacher status for secondary Mathematics teaching
• Recent experience teaching Maths IGCSE
• Excellent teamwork skills and be willing to collaborate on planning and resourcing
• High expectations of pupils' effort and behaviour, and facilitate this with proven classroom management skills
• Be a native level English speaker
• Previous experience of an international school
• Recent experience as a teacher in a school in the UK
• Recent experience teaching A Level Mathematics

Knowledge or Experience of the Additional Mathematics IGCSE Course
