Materials Planner

About the role

Join us at the heart of supply chain planning at Essity’s hub in Barcelona. In this role, you will be responsible of ensuring the timely availability of raw materials to meet production demands while maintaining optimal stock levels. The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks, manage supplier relationships, and enhance operational efficiency.

What you will do

  • Plan raw material deliveries in the short, medium, and long term to meet production demands and maintain efficient operations.

  • Collaborate with various departments to mitigate potential material shortages and ensure smooth production flow.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contributing to their performance evaluations.

  • Coordinate with different functions to minimize raw material write-offs and manage phase-in/phase-out processes.

  • Actively contribute to new projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.

  • Analyze and update safety stock levels for raw materials based on individual material and factory constraints.

Who you are

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.

  • Communicating fluently in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Experience in planning within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills across teams and stakeholders.

  • Excellent Excel skills. Knowledge using Power BI and SAP are a plus.

  • Excelling in organization, analysis, and problem-solving.

  • Driving performance with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
