Job Description:

A vacancy for a Materials and Processes Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Seville.

The successful applicant will join the Engineering Department.

Description of the job:

We are looking for a Science Degree or Engineer with experience in Materials and Processes Projects and Quality, focused on Industrial Processes Qualifications, testing of materials, and management and integration of technical projects.

The position requires a good balance between technical expertise in M&P Projects and Quality, manufacturing processes, special processes, materials testing, and managerial skills.

The successful applicant will join the Materials & Process T1EME1 Department (M&P Integration) as part of the Engineering organization.

Main Activities:

• Ensure materials, transformation processes (focused on special processes), and industrial capabilities meet Quality and Engineering/Design requirements.
• Manage M&P Industrial Projects, including costing, workload planning, bids, offers, and project coordination.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Industrial qualification of processes: defining, coordinating, and executing qualification plans.
• Perform technical assessments of capabilities and risks from special processes/manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate compliance against requirements and perform technical audits.
• Analyze deviations and anomalies in processes and materials.
• Define and develop procedures and specifications.
• Represent the M&P-PE department in MFTs and Task Groups for assigned projects.
• Analyze data and trends.
• Project management focused on industrial implementation.
• Workload planning, bidding, and quotations management.

Required background:

• Master's Science or Engineering degree.
• Experience in project management, KPIs, data analysis, and in M&P or related manufacturing processes.
• Experience in analytical laboratory techniques.
• Knowledge of process qualification methodologies.
• Experience in manufacturing environments and impact analysis.
• Auditing experience and root cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of EN9100, Nadcap, and quality regulations.

Basic Skills:

• High flexibility, interpersonal skills, problem-solving in high-pressure contexts.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including outside Europe.
