Your main tasks
  • Design and optimize assembly and microfabrication processes (laser welding, PSA bonding, heat staking, ultrasonic welding, etc.) for new microfluidic products.
  • Collaborate with R&D to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) from early development stages.
  • Conduct feasibility trials, Design of Experiments (DoE), and early process validations (IQ/OQ).
  • Define critical process parameters, control strategies, and documentation including process flows and PFMEAs.
  • Support tool and material selection in collaboration with clients and procurement.
  • Lead cleanroom-based operations for insert fabrication and initial prototype production.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation: test protocols, reports, ECOs, SOPs.
  • Contribute to technology transfer plans by providing robust, scalable processes ready for industrialization.
  • Work in compliance with ISO 13485, internal quality systems, and client-specific requirements.
Your ideal background
  • Master's degree in Process, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in process development, ideally in medical devices, diagnostics, or life sciences.
  • Experience with assembly processes and cleanroom manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of microfabrication, photolithography, or injection molding is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma, DoE, SPC, FMEA, and process control methodologies.
  • Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
  • Fluency in English
