Your role and work environment :

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Litigation Lead to join our Legal Team Team.

Your key responsibilities :

As litigation team lead your responsibility is to provide expert and professional legal adviceguidanceand support in litigation matters ensuring strategic and effective case management. This position involvesassisting the head of the department teammembers and internal clients to ensure legal risks in ING operations are identified and mitigated.

• To ensure that the legal and reputational risks are identified, reported and mitigated providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• To lead and coordinate the litigation team providing guidance on legal strategy and sharing knowledge within the team to maintain consistency and best practices.
• To collaborate with the team in processing procedural files, organizing relevant information and collecting the necessary means of evidence for the correct defense of the proceedings.
• To act as advisor and lawyer to the banking business when necessary working closely with the relevant area in procedural matters.
• To collaborate with internal teams to optimize litigation processes, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
• To draft procedural briefs and legal responses.
• To report relevant data to different areas.
• To engage external counsel and review external counsel's advice and documents.

• Degree in Law from an accredited institution and qualified to work as lawyer in Spain.
• 5 to 7 yearsof relevant experience working at a law firm and / or financial institution on litigation and procedural matters.
• Desirable expertise fields: banking digital and innovation.
• Ability to inspire, motivate and develop a high‑performing team.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal issues and data‑driven insights to support case strategies and decision‑making.
• Experience with legal technology tools and data analytics platforms.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines and adapt to changing priorities operating in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
• Intermediate level of English
• Readiness to face a changing environment and proactive attitude towards new challenges.

Tu rol y entorno de trabajo :

Estamos buscando a una persona talentosa y entusiasta para el puesto de Litigation Lead que se una a nuestro equipo Legal Team.

Tus responsabilidades claves :

Como responsable del equipo de litigios tu responsabilidad será proporcionar asesoramiento legal experto y profesional orientación y apoyo en asuntos de litigación asegurando una gestión estratégica y eficaz de los casos. Este puesto implica asistir a la persona responsable del departamento a los miembros del equipo y a clientes internos para garantizar que los riesgos legales en las operaciones de ING se identifiquen y mitiguen.

• Garantizar que los riesgos legales y reputacionales se identifiquen informen y mitiguen proporcionando recomendaciones accionables a las personas interesadas.
• Liderar y coordinar el equipo de litigios ofreciendo orientación sobre la estrategia legal y compartiendo conocimiento dentro del equipo para mantener la coherencia y las mejores prácticas.
• Colaborar con el equipo en la tramitación de expedientes procesales organizando la información relevante y recopilando los medios de prueba necesarios para la correcta defensa de los procedimientos.
• Actuar como asesor / a y abogado / a del negocio bancario cuando sea necesario trabajando estrechamente con las áreas correspondientes en asuntos procesales.
• Colaborar con equipos internos para optimizar los procesos de litigación identificando ineficiencias e implementando soluciones que mejoren la eficacia operativa.
• Redactar escritos procesales y respuestas legales.
• Reportar datos relevantes a diferentes áreas.
• Contratar asesoría externa y revisar las recomendaciones y documentos de la asesoría externa.

Qué buscamos

• Grado en Derecho por una institución acreditada y habilitación para ejercer como abogado / a en España.
• De 5 a 7 años de experiencia relevante trabajando en un despacho y / o institución financiera en asuntos de litigación y procesales.
• Áreas de especialización deseables : banca digital e innovación.
• Capacidad para inspirar motivar y desarrollar un equipo de alto rendimiento.
• Sólidas habilidades analíticas con capacidad para interpretar cuestiones legales complejas y aportar insights basados en datos para apoyar estrategias de casos y toma de decisiones.
• Experiencia con herramientas de tecnología legal y plataformas de análisis de datos.
• Fuertes habilidades organizativas y de priorización; capacidad para gestionar prioridades concurrentes de manera eficaz.
• Capacidad demostrada para cumplir plazos exigentes y adaptarse a prioridades cambiantes operando en un entorno dinámico y de ritmo rápido.
• Nivel intermedio de inglés.
• Preparación para afrontar un entorno cambiante y actitud proactiva ante nuevos retos.
