We are looking for a lawyer to join our Madrid office as a maternity cover. If you have experience in an international environment, this is a great opportunity to contribute to a leading luxury brand during this period. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Legal and will work closely with all the Departments within the Company. Working within a multinational Brand, the successful candidate will be expected to provide legal advice to all departments with an international scope.

Your role will be:

Responsibilities
  • Commercial Agreements: You'll be at the heart of our business deals, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various agreements. This includes everything from retail leases for our stores to distribution agreements that get our products around the world, and even marketing agreements with VIP clients, influencers, photographers, and for special events.
  • External Legal Support: You'll be the main point of contact with our external legal advisors, working closely with them on specific projects and issues that require specialized expertise.
  • Daily Legal Advice: You'll provide practical and timely legal advice to different departments within LOEWE. This means understanding the legal implications of our day-to-day business activities and offering solutions to keep us on the right track.
  • Intellectual Property: You'll support our brand protection efforts by overseeing intellectual property projects (IP). This includes reviewing contracts related to merchandising licenses and ensuring our brand is protected.
  • Contract Database: You'll help us maintain and improve our legal knowledge base by contributing to the development and updating of our contract database, making sure we have a well-organized and accessible library of legal documents.
  • Compliance: You'll play a key role in ensuring that LOEWE is always operating in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, staying up-to-date on legal changes and advising the company accordingly.

What is important for the role:

  • At least 7 years of experience in an international environment (as an in-house lawyer or in a renowned law firm).
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to give accurate and practical legal information and advice.
  • Excellent ability to speak, write and negotiate in Spanish, English, and ideally also in French.
  • The ability to learn quickly and show initiative.
  • Travelling abroad may be required
