• Experiencia comprobada en proyectos complejos de software en la nube.
• Liderazgo técnico en arquitectura de sistemas en la nube moderna.

• Diseñar y liderar el desarrollo de una arquitectura moderna de software en la nube.
• Definir e implementar estándares técnicos y patrones de integración.
• Tomar responsabilidad técnica total del producto desde el concepto hasta la operación.

About the role:

As a Lead Backend Software Engineer for our cloud software solutions, you will assume overall technical responsibility and drive the vision and architecture of modern, scalable, and secure cloud platforms for our digital intralogistics products. Collaborating closely with product owners, tech principals, and developers, you will design and implement the foundation of cloud‑based applications and services – from user‑facing features to the integration of complex backend and infrastructure components.

We are looking for a hands‑on technical leader with deep experience in cloud‑native software solutions who thrives in cross‑functional teams and is passionate about developing robust, future‑proof platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and lead the development of a modern cloud software architecture for digital intralogistics solutions
• Define and implement technical standards, interfaces, and integration patterns (e.g., REST APIs, microservices, event‑driven architectures)
• Evaluate and integrate cloud‑based services (preferably AWS, alternatively Azure)
• Take end‑to‑end technical responsibility for the product: from feature concept, architecture, and implementation to deployment and operations
• Promote quality, scalability, security, and maintainability from the outset
• Lead proof‑of‑concepts to validate architectural decisions and new technologies
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business and operations requirements into technical solutions
• Foster and exemplify engineering best practices, clean code, and a DevOps mindset
• Mentor and coach the development team on cloud‑specific patterns and modern software engineering
• Actively participate in code reviews, architecture and design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Proven experience planning and delivering complex cloud software projects as a lead developer or architect
• Practical experience and technical leadership in modern cloud system architecture (preferably AWS, alternatively Azure)
• In‑depth knowledge of cloud‑native architectures, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform, CDK), and DevOps practices
• Experience with modern backend technologies (Java/Kotlin).
• Familiarity with integration architectures, API design, databases (relational and NoSQL), scalability, and observability
• Ability to communicate technical vision, motivate teams, and drive innovation
• Experience working in agile, international, and self‑organized teams
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (C1); German language skills are an advantage
• Creative, solution‑oriented personality who enjoys sharing knowledge and continuous learning
