Formación

The Opportunity

Our Madrid office is looking for someone to support our team based in Madrid. The person will gain experience in the preparation of various transport planning studies for a broad portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in transport strategies & studies: participation in projects to evaluate transport alternatives, mobility plans, and traffic and mobility studies.
  • Collaborate in the construction and application of transport models, covering data collection, network coding, demand analysis, calibration and validation, and forecasting.
  • Use transport analysis software and assess system changes and build narratives explaining the impact changes can have on people and systems.
  • Analyses of national and international best practices to identify innovative and applicable solutions.
  • Undertake analysis to support preparation of presentations and reports associated with transportation studies and traffic modelling work undertaken.
  • Be part of a diverse and integrated multidisciplinary team with initiative, responsibility, and good customer relations, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated, eager to learn and experience new challenges every day.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and dynamic with good computer skills and a desire to work on demanding projects. Ideally, you’ll bring :

Qualifications
  • A degree or Master’s in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Urban Planning or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in traffic modelling, transport or pedestrian planning.
  • Advanced use of the Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent written and spoken skills in Spanish and English (C1 level).
  • A keen desire to improve transport systems and willingness to learn new software.
  • Numerical inclination and analytical, with good computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing the results of analyses and modelling.
  • A good team worker with an ability to be flexible in supporting the bigger picture.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in other representation tools such as GIS knowledge: ArcGIS, QGIS, …
  • Traffic simulation software: VISSIM, VISUM, Aimsun, or similar
  • Programming: Python
  • Knowledge using pedestrian modelling software: Legion, MassMotion, Pathfinder, or similar.
  • Knowledge in CAD, Rhinoceros and communication and visualization tools: InDesign, Illustrator.
