The Spain team comprises six members: Franz (Sales Director Spain), Rémi (Project Development Manager), Raquel (Funding Specialist), Carlos (Commissioning Engineer), Sergio (Business Developer), and Antonio (Combustion Process Expert).

We are currently seeking a Project Development Manager based in Madrid or Barcelona, on a fixed-term contract to cover paternity leave (~6 months).

Your mission:

1. Coordinate the project pipeline in Spain until investment decision, under the guidance of the Sales Director Spain.
2. Serve as the main contact with engineering teams and local engineering firms.
3. Participate in negotiations with PPA suppliers for renewable electricity sourcing, alongside colleagues responsible for electricity sourcing.
4. Develop and challenge project capex and opex in financial models, manage these models, and determine hydrogen pricing.
5. Coordinate with grid operators to obtain connection permits for hydrogen projects.
6. Negotiate land agreements to secure sites for hydrogen projects.
7. Monitor regional, national, and European subsidies applicable to Lhyfe's hydrogen projects and off-takers.
8. Lead the permitting process internally and externally until obtaining necessary approvals for construction and operation.

Knowledge of bidding rules and subsidy call texts is essential, including:

1. Coordination of technical-economic reports.
2. Preparation of administrative documentation.
3. Communication with consultants, if applicable.

We seek a candidate who:

• Has at least 5 years of experience in developing industrial, renewable, or land development projects.
• Understands the interactions between project disciplines and the interdependencies of scope, time, cost, and quality.
• Is fluent in Spanish and has strong English skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities to engage stakeholders.
• Demonstrates integrity, determination, resourcefulness, and resilience.
• Is enthusiastic about renewable energies.
• Possesses excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
