Overview
Our client is a multinational financial institution specialising in equipment leasing and financing.
Experience in the equipment leasing and financing sector and a high level of English are required.
Responsibilities
- Act as CFO and Strategic Business Partner to the senior executive leadership.
- Assess and evaluate financial performance of the organisation regarding long-term operational goals, budgets and provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan.
- Lead the mobilisation and administration of financial resources, pertaining to both the assets and liabilities of the organisation, the management of liquidity, the planning and management of capital, the accounting and financial records of its operations, and the administration of its relations with financial markets and intermediaries.
- Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new service offerings.
- Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models.
- Assure the safety, accuracy, and soundness of the regulatory reporting (net capital charges, customers' protection rules, Foreign Branch Reporting) and ensure the figures reported to Head Office in Paris are reliable and delivered timely.
- Adapt to business, market, and regulatory conditions as relevant.
- Actively participate and organise the Forecast/Budget process.
- Foster dialogue between Local Business Lines/Support Functions/Sectors and Head Office, driving profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics while advising the executive team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions.
- Centralise the short-term funding needs of each Business Line within the Broker/Dealer and process the required transactions with Treasury Department.
- Take an active role in the definition and implementation of the Culture and Conduct framework.
- Ensure the correct implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SGEF's policies, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with management across the organisation both locally and globally as well as external counterparts, regulators, and relevant industry organisations.
- Work closely with all business partners by meeting regularly to review strategic goals, support ongoing and new business initiatives and receive regular feedback.
- Manage all resources, time-lines, and deliveries appropriately.
- Manage monthly performance reviews of key metrics across functions.
- Set policies for accounting and financial record keeping.
- Fulfil and ensure the established parameters by internal or external audits for the business, ensuring that all legal, tax, and IFRS requirements are met.
- Manage all treasury functions, including interface with other group entities to optimise cost of funds.
- Manage the finance department: establish the organisational structure, conduct performance reviews, recruit.
