Overview

Join our team and build the furure of space technology. We’re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer; with passion in what you do, talented and experienced; to lead our Mission Control Center team and help build the future of space technology.

What you will be doing

• Definition and identification of technical and user requirements.
• Preparation of software development specifications.
• Analysis and design of on-board software and firmware.
• Participation in validation campaigns for software and complete system (TLYF or E2E).

What we need in our team

• Hands-on experience with microcontroller design flows
• Eagerness to learn
• Familiarity with embedded Linux systems
• Fluency in English
• Knowledge of embedded software development tools: C/C++
• Experience working with GIT repositories and Linux-based operating systems
• Some experience with instrumentation equipment (power supply, multimeter, oscilloscope)

Valuable knowledge

• Development of custom embedded Linux systems using Buildroot/Yocto
• Some experience with Python or other scripting languages
• Experience in the design of on-board software for spacecraft or critical systems
• Knowledge of software development within the FreeRTOS environment
• Understanding of DSP algorithms

• Work remotely 80% of the time
