As a member of our European Rail team based in Madrid, our Project Managers are responsible for overseeing the delivery of AECOM services for both national and international rail projects.
Our team provides design and professional services to public and private railway clients, covering a diverse range of railway projects including high-speed rail, conventional rail, tramways, and metro systems.
We are actively delivering projects in Spain, Europe and other international regions.
Now we are seeking experienced Project Managers to join our team in Madrid.
Our hybrid work model allows flexibility, so we encourage applications from candidates residing in other cities who can commute to the office on a weekly basis.
Manage the delivery of AECOM services for various railway projects.
Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to AECOM's quality standards.
Collaborate with AECOM teams across Europe and globally to achieve project goals.
Lead and Represent : Act as the face of the AECOM Madrid team on both national and international rail projects, overseeing the planning and ongoing management of scope, cost, quality, risk, safety, health, and environmental issues.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Management Excellence : Utilize AECOM's project management systems, tools, and procedures to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
Strategic Planning : Develop and execute comprehensive project execution plans, ensuring all projects under your responsibility are meticulously planned and managed.
Team Leadership : Lead cross-disciplinary project teams,
fostering team capability and building stakeholder confidence through effective leadership and collaboration.
Information Management : Oversee the flow of information between internal teams, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Performance Optimization : Implement performance management techniques, including the use of KPIs, to continuously improve project performance.
Ensure the timely production of formal progress reports and other documentation for project management.
Technical Support : Collaborate with railway technical experts to deliver high-quality project outputs, managing or leading design and technical tasks as needed.
Fluency in English and Spanish languages will be essential.
Minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager, Engineering Manager, or Design Manager,
with a proven track record in delivering big infrastructure projects in the transportation sector (railway projects will be a plus).
Previous experience managing large-sized infrastructure projects of medium to high complexity is a must.
Strong background in engineering and experience in both design management and project management, ideally within design consultancy service contracts.
Experience managing international and railway-related projects will be a plus.
