A leading hospitality brand in Spain seeks a Finance trainee for a minimum 5-month program. You will assist with accounts payable and receivable, support financial reporting, and ensure compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have a degree in finance or related fields and possess strong analytical and organizational skills. Knowledge of Excel and Spanish is required, and you will benefit from training and shared accommodation.

Duties and Responsibilities

I will perform the following relevant tasks for this role:

1. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
   • Assist in processing invoices, documentation, and ensuring timely payments.
   • Support the collection process by following up on outstanding receivables.
2. Financial Reporting:
   • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
   • Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and variances.
3. Audit Support:
   • Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
   • Participate in audit activities to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
4. Financial Analysis:
   • Assist in conducting financial analysis to support decision‑making processes.
   • Provide insights into cost control measures and revenue enhancement opportunities.
5. Compliance:
   • Stay informed about financial regulations and compliance requirements in the hospitality industry.
   • Assist in ensuring that financial processes adhere to relevant laws and Six Senses Ibiza standards and procedures.
6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information and support their financial needs.
7. Training and Development:
   • Participate in training sessions to enhance financial knowledge and skills.
   • Take the initiative to learn about industry‑specific financial practices.

Program length: Minimum 5 months.

Skills and Experience

To execute the position of Finance trainee, I am studying a degree or I have a diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

The skills required for this position include a strong aptitude for numbers, with the ability to analyze financial data and draw meaningful insights. Attention to detail, accuracy in handling financial records, reports and transactions. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Technical knowledge of financial software, Excel (e.g. pivot tables, formulas, etc.) and accounting systems.

Experience in hospitality or customer‑facing roles adds value for understanding the financial needs of the hospitality industry. An understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, and basic financial regulations it is a plus.

I have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Spanish.

I will maintain a thorough understanding of Six Senses in terms of guidelines, rules and regulations, brand and operating standards, facilities and services.
