Esta posición implica el análisis de mercados energéticos, desarrollo de modelos de ingresos y evaluación del entorno regulatorio. Se requiere una licenciatura en campos relacionados y al menos 2 años de experiencia en el sector. Se ofrece empleo estable, crecimiento dentro de un entorno multicultural y formación técnica.

Formación

Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years’ experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.

The Energy Storage Market Analyst reports to the Global Head of Energy Storage and belongs to the Energy Storage department. This department oversees all aspects related to standalone and hybrid energy storage assets.

Within the Energy Storage team, the Energy Storage Market Analyst is accountable for studying energy markets globally, preparing internal reports, executive briefings and monitoring the global energy regulatory environment. The Energy Market Analyst also maintains market consultant relationships, evaluates the assumptions they made, develops revenue modelling capabilities for our assets and assess the performance of the asset hedging portfolio.

What will you help with

  • Develop and maintain revenue models for standalone energy storage and hybrid assets.
  • Analyze global energy markets, including contract structures, price dynamics, revenues streams and settlement mechanisms.
  • Monitor global regulatory and technological environment.
  • Maintain relationships with market consultants and evaluate their assumptions.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and risk assessments to support investment decisions and evaluate impact on existing portfolio.
  • Develop energy trading and market participation strategies for standalone and hybrid energy storage assets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance of models and existing assets.
  • Provide data-driven strategic insights to senior management.

Who you are

  • Detailed knowledge of global energy markets and its key drivers.
  • Mathematical techno-economic optimization and financial modeling.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and VBA.
  • Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data analysis and optimization.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Highly systematic and strategic mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Solid organizational skills and a focus on detail.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Energy, Advanced engineering, Renewable energy, Mathematics, Physics, Economics or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
  • Based in Sevilla.
