Overview

Laude San Pedro International College is seeking to appoint an inspirational and passionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). The successful candidate will join our committed and dynamic school, who deliver an outstanding learning experience which goes well beyond the classroom. Our aim is to enable every child to achieve more than they dreamed possible, in a safe, happy and inclusive environment where everyone is supported and encouraged to excel. The Student Support Coordinator has a whole school role by creating and providing a consistent approach to the safeguarding, inclusion, emotional and welfare needs of the students in our care. The SENCO consistently works towards outstanding performance across all professional standards, ensuring safeguarding, successful outcomes and the efficient and effective administrative operations.

Our department is characterised by a strong sense of collaboration and enthusiasm, with a focus on team work both within Primary and Secondary school. The candidate profile

• SEND and / or Educational Psychologist Qualification.
• Spanish - English bilingual or English Proficiency.
• Successful relevant experience within an SEND Team.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Flexible, positive and “can-do” attitude to work.
• Full understanding of safeguarding, prevent and SENCO practices within the British system.
• To communicate clearly and resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
• To have excellent management and leadership skills and to be able to follow the school’s disciplinary code.
• To work as part of the administrative team, providing a friendly and welcoming service to students, staff, families and visitors in a manner that truly reflects the values of our school.
• To prioritise tasks and to manage their workload with a minimum of supervision.
• Experience and qualified in safeguarding or willing to be trained and developed
