Role Overview
The Business Development/Strategy/Public Affairs – Digital Health role is responsible for driving growth by identifying, developing, and closing new commercial opportunities across European healthcare markets. The role leverages a strong consulting background to engage senior stakeholders, translate complex healthcare challenges into value-driven digital solutions, and build long-term client and partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in digital health across European markets.
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities with healthcare providers, payers, life sciences companies, and public-sector clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders (C‑suite, clinical leaders, digital and innovation heads).
- Lead client conversations to understand strategic priorities and translate them into tailored digital health solutions.
- Develop long-term partnerships and account growth strategies.
- Leverage consulting experience to shape value propositions, business cases, and ROI-driven proposals.
- Contribute to go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and commercial frameworks for digital health offerings.
- Support RFPs, tenders, and complex procurement processes common in European healthcare systems.
- Monitor European digital health trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with technology vendors, startups, and ecosystem partners.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client forums across Europe.
- Work closely with delivery, product, clinical, legal, and regulatory teams to ensure commercially viable and compliant solutions.
- Provide market feedback to inform product development and service evolution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, life sciences, technology, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- 5–10+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, or advisory roles, with a transition into business development, sales, or commercial roles.
- Strong understanding of digital health, healthcare transformation, or health technology.
- Experience selling complex, high-value solutions to enterprise or public-sector clients.
- Demonstrated success in building and closing commercial opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across multiple European healthcare systems (e.g., NHS, German statutory health system, French public healthcare).
- Familiarity with European data protection and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, national health regulations).
- Experience in health tech, life sciences, payer, or provider environments.
- Multilingual capabilities (English required; additional European languages a strong advantage).
- Consultative selling and stakeholder management.
- Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Healthcare and digital transformation expertise.
- Cross-cultural and multi-market experience.
