The role involves oversight of design budgets, schedules, and coordination within a team, requiring a Master's degree in Engineering and extensive project management experience.

Formación

• Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary design and engineering projects.
• Affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes.
• Fluent in English, preferably Dutch and/or German.

Design Manager - Spain, Malaga - Permanent Contract

QCSstaffing are partnered with a leading independent company who combine engineering, design and consultancy services with software and technology to deliver complex projects across the globe. Our client’s projects include those in the DataCentre, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing,FMCG, Infrastructure, Transport and Water sectors to name a few.

Their team is composed of experts in diverse fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, security technology and project management to name a few.

To support with these projects and their continued growth, they are currently looking to hire aDesign ManagerinMalaga.

Responsibilities:

• Manage scope-of-work, design budget and contract documents for each project
• Follow and update design delivery schedule and distribute workload within team
• Coordinate and optimise design withmulti-disciplinary team and external parties
• Lead and challenge design solutions and changes
• Create and communicate innovative ideas and designs to client and team.

Requirements:

• Holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
• Requires extensive experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or other relevant sectors;
• Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM360,CDE);
• Possesses good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients;
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English (and preferably Dutch and/ or German.
