A global nature organization in Madrid is seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager to lead the development of its communication strategy and enhance global visibility. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the field, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects. IAHR is looking for a dynamic and experienced Communications and Marketing Manager to join its Global Secretariat. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of IAHR’s communication strategy, enhance global visibility, and engage a diverse community of water professionals and stakeholders.

About the job

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing our communication strategy. You will lead our marketing campaigns, evaluate our communication performance metrics, and collaborate with internal teams. You should have a strong communication background with excellent skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and implement IAHR communications by:
2. Drafting annual communications plans for approval
3. Drafting multi-year communications strategies for approval
4. Coordinating and liaising as necessary with IAHR staff and external stakeholders
5. Implementing the approved communications strategies and plans in a timely, professional, and high-quality manner
6. Managing daily communications operations

Ensure effective outreach to IAHR membership and other target audiences.

Take care of writing, editing, and preparing other communications materials.

Support the growth of IAHR by developing branding and communications standards, implementing marketing and advertising activities, and exploring revenue streams.

Support the smooth functioning of the Global Secretariat and the Madrid Office.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educated to degree level, preferably in a science-related field such as marketing, communications, media, or journalism
• 5+ years' experience as a communications and marketing manager
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Experience in managing websites
• Graphic design skills and experience creating promotional materials, advertisements, or artwork
• Experience measuring the impact of communications products and adjusting strategies accordingly
• A network of contacts in the media and the ability to manage media relations effectively

Salary up to 36,000€ gross annually, depending on experience.
