A leading cloud technology company is seeking an experienced Cloud-Edge Systems Engineer Advisor. Since 2019, and thanks to the support from the European Commission, OpenNebula Systems has been leading the edge computing innovation in Europe, investing heavily in research and open source development, and playing a key role in strategic EU initiatives such as the IPCEI‑CIS and the “European Alliance for Industrial Data, Edge and Cloud”.
We are seeking experienced Cloud‑Edge Systems Engineer Advisor to provide guidance, technical support, and validation throughout the design, implementation, and operational phases of the project. This role is advisory in nature, focused on providing expert input on the analysis, design, deployment, validation, and demonstration of cloud‑edge solutions, with particular focus on security, resilience, and sustainability aspects. You will collaborate with software engineers, system architects, and project leads to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Activities in WP3 Management Layer for the Cloud‑Edge Continuum of IPCEI‑CIS ONEnextgen Project (UNICO IPCEI‑2023‑003).
From January 16, 2026 to June 30, 2026 (approximately 5 months).
Remote (occasionally F2F coordination meetings).
Maximum hourly rate is 30 EUR (full price, including all costs and excluding VAT).
Maximum work hours per year is 1,800.
The maximum estimated cost is 4,500.00€ per month, and a total of 22,500.00€.
