A leading animal welfare organisation is seeking a dynamic Chief People Officer (CPO) in a part-time role to drive the organisational culture and employee experience. Collaborating with the CEO and Board, you will shape strategic people initiatives and ensure compliance with employment legislation. Ideal candidates will have significant HR leadership experience and a solid grasp of employment relations. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a values-driven environment dedicated to positive change for the community.
Join a leading animal welfare organisation making a real difference.
RSPCA WA is Western Australia’s oldest and largest animal welfare charity, dedicated to creating a world where animals and people live together with dignity, respect and compassion. Since 1892, we’ve worked tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals, educate the community, and advocate for stronger animal welfare laws. Guided by our values—Show Compassion, Lead the Way, Act with Courage, and Seek Positive Outcomes—we strive to improve the lives of animals and build a more caring society.
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief People Officer (CPO) to join the Executive Leadership Team in a part-time capacity (0.8 FTE). This pivotal role partners closely with the CEO, Board and senior leaders to shape organisational culture and drive the strategic direction of the employee experience, ensuring alignment with RSPCA WA’s mission and long‑term objectives.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a highly values‑driven organisation committed to creating positive change for animals and the WA community. The successful candidate will lead a critical function that shapes the employee experience and supports RSPCA WA’s mission every day.
Please note: Full Australian working rights and a current police clearance are required for this role. The position is based in Perth’s northern suburbs, with a strong site presence required.
