A leading e-commerce company in Barcelona is seeking a Buyer to ensure smooth procurement operations. The role involves processing purchase requisitions, managing supplier data, and resolving invoice issues. Responsabilidades

Conocimientos

Overview

Amazon is hiring a Buyer to be based in one of our corporate offices in Barcelona. As a Buyer you will be the functional support to the Fulfillment Center (FC) Procurement network for operational and administrative tasks. You will take care of the daily execution of purchasing orders and / or documents creation, delivery tracking and escalation, invoice and supplier master data management and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
  • Process daily purchase requisitions, remedy tickets and web requisitions
  • Process invoice queries and reconciliation
  • Administrate Purchase Order process
  • Set up and maintain supplier master data for procurement network
  • Proactively manage and decrease the number of invoices on hold (IOH), ensuring a robust procure-to-pay process.
A day in the life

This position is office-based.

As a Buyer you will be expected to meet the service level agreements (SLA) for standard tasks (e.g. PR / PO, ticket resolving...) and other assigned project targets and objectives. You will also be the point of contact with some outside vendors / manufacturers.

About the team

The Global Procurement Shared Services (GPSS) team supports the EU procurement and business teams by delivering operational purchasing tasks and assignments. GPSS is responsible of the triage and of resolving requests for Procurement support via tickets, according to the team's SLAs. The team partners with other procurement functions to improve the support they provide to their customers through automatized and self-service solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge in MS Office – in particular MS Excel
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, ORACLE, Coupa) in large organizations
  • Advanced proficiency in English (B2 / C1 Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR).
  • Experience in customer service, procurement, or corporate back-office roles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of additional EMEA languages (German, French, Polish and Turkish) is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or Engineering
