A leading company in architectural surfaces is seeking a financial analyst to join their Controlling Department in Castellón de la Plana, Spain. The role involves providing financial planning and analysis support, ensuring the accuracy of budgeting and reporting, and coordinating financial transactions. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and over two years' experience in a relevant role. Proficiency in financial reporting tools and English is required.

Formación

  • Experience in financial data analysis and reporting is essential.

We currently have a vacancy in our Controlling Department. The position involves providing financial planning and analysis support to the Corporate departments, including forecasting, budgeting, and internal control, while partnering across the organization to support Corporate functions financially and analytically in achieving their goals and priorities. The role also ensures quality control over financial transactions and financial and analytical reporting, including the coordination of monthly and year-end reporting, as well as the preparation of ad hoc financial reports.

Responsibilities
  • Timely and appropriate reports and analysis are provided, delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies.
  • Internal and external deadlines are met.
  • Month-end, Budget and Forecast information is reliable, accurate and presents no material mistakes.
  • Coordinate financial reporting and support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and provide support on budget and month-end processes.
  • Work with the Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer to provide cohesive analytical support on ad hoc financial analyses that drive strategic business decisions.
  • Establish, monitor, analyze and enforce the revenue stream and average selling price evolution.
  • Calculate variances from the budget and forecasts and report significant issues.
  • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls.
Required minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • The educational requirements will be waived for candidates with a minimum of one year of experience at Neolith or in a similar position.
  • English B2 level.
  • More than 2 years’ experience on an Accounting or Controlling function or auditing firm.
  • Experience on financial data analysis and reporting.
Skills
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
  • Business Intelligence tools knowledge (Power BI / Power Query). SAP ERP knowledge will be an added value.
  • Required to be self-sufficient in English-speaking environments.
  • Understanding of the work environment at the industrial sector or similar.
  • Proficiency on Excel and presentations on PowerPoint.
  • Comply with the regulations, policy and instructions of Quality, Environment and Health and Safety.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Decisiveness, pragmatism, a high degree of result orientation and pro-activity.
  • Demonstrates independent thinking when evaluating critical information to reach conclusions.
  • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills.
