Associate) Banking and Finance Lawyer - Southern Central Europe – based in Luxembourg. This is a full-time temporary position at grade 4 / 5 in the European Investment Bank (EIB) Legal Directorate, EU Operations Department, Central Europe Division, Southern and Central Europe Unit (SCE).
This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. relocation support is offered.
Panel interviews are anticipated for October 2025.
The Southern and Central Europe (SCE) Unit provides legal advice to the EIB in various lending operations and works with member states, municipalities, banks, and corporate counterparties. The unit covers secured and non-secured lending, structured finance and asset finance, across seven countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia.
Report to the Head of Unit and collaborate with in-house lawyers in the SCE Unit and Legal Directorate, as well as colleagues from Origination, Portfolio Management and Monitoring and Projects Directorates, and external counsels, borrowers, and guarantors as needed.
