Conexus are working with a leading consulting firm that are searching for an experience AI Architect to bolster their AI capabilities in 2026.

This is a senior technical leadership role, suited to someone who enjoys designing enterprise-scale AI architectures, leading strong engineering teams, and working closely with clients to shape AI strategy and delivery.

What you'll be doing

• Leading teams of machine learning engineers to deliver AI and Generative AI solutions in complex, large-scale enterprise environments

• Designing end-to-end technical architectures for AI systems, covering the full data science and machine learning lifecycle

• Architecting cloud-based analytics and AI platforms, with a strong focus on scalable, production-ready solutions and AIOps best practice

• Advising clients on how to effectively leverage data science, machine learning and AI within cloud ecosystems

• Working hands-on with modern cloud AI platforms such as Azure (Databricks, Azure ML), AWS (SageMaker), and Google Cloud (Vertex AI)

• Designing robust, scalable AI/ML systems that integrate cleanly with wider enterprise architectures

• Contributing to innovative use cases such as AI Digital Twins, combining AI/ML systems, rule-based logic and generative AI to enable real-time monitoring and optimisation

• Supporting pre-sales and proposal work, bringing architectural expertise into client-facing discussions

What they're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field

• 8+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 5 years in machine learning engineering or AI/ML architecture roles

• Strong background in software engineering and hands-on AI implementation

• Proven experience designing and building scalable, cloud-based machine learning platforms

• Deep understanding of data science fundamentals, AI solution lifecycles and AIOps

• Strong experience across at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS or Google Cloud

• Confident communicator, able to engage both technical teams and senior, non-technical stakeholders
