A leading industry firm in Madrid seeks an Accounts Assistant to support financial management operations. You will be responsible for preparing general accounting tasks, overseeing bank accounts, and supporting audits, ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Excel skills, a solid understanding of the Spanish General Accounting Plan, and strong analytical skills. We are excited to announce the growth of our accounts team with the introduction of this brand new role.

As Accounts Assistant your duties will include preparing general accounting and financial management, recording and controlling income and expense invoices, allocating and reviewing accounting entries in ERP systems, document archiving, overseeing bank accounts, reconciliations, treasury control, and cash forecasting.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for financial monitoring, identifying improvements and risks, supporting audits, filing taxes and Intrastat reports, preparing reports for management, and other administrative tasks related to the group's activities, such as credit coverage requests, preparing medium-term treasury statements, requesting guarantees, and renewing insurance policies.

You will have a solid understanding of the Spanish General Accounting Plan and tax regulations, have advance Excel skills and a sound working knowledge of financial processes within ERP systems. Excellent analytical skills are also an essential requirement of this role as is a good level of English (B2 or equivalent).
