The ICCT seeks aversatileEditor/Writerto joina teamthatworksacross all programs and regionsto ensure the integrityand qualityof theresearchpublications that areatthe core of our work.Thismultifacetedrole is idealfor anexperiencededitorwithacareful eye for detail,aknack forstorytelling,andademonstratedknowledge of climate science,environmental policy, or transportation.A graduate degree in a relevant field is preferred, as issomeexperience with peer-reviewed publishing.Ability to edit in another language (Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, German, or Indonesian) is a plus but notrequired.
TheEditor/Writer will primarily handle a stream of editing assignments. A typical day could involve developmentally editing a brief about global maritime regulations in the morning and then copy editing a long technical report about biofuels in Brazil in the afternoon. Duties range from advising on the logic and structure of research reports to writing and editing summaries for op-eds and fact sheets and reviewing social media posts.This is a full-time, hybrid position that can be based out of our Berlin, Germany office. You will report to the Managing Editor.
