A leading quantum technology company in Munich is seeking a skilled mechanical or optical engineer. The role involves designing and optimizing components for quantum sensing systems, and requires a Master's or PhD degree with relevant industry experience. You will collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines, conduct simulations, and document your designs. The position offers a chance to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute significantly to product development.
We are seeking a skilled mechanical or optical engineer to support the development and automation of our quantum sensing measurement systems. In this role, you will design and optimize high-stability components and motion assemblies that enable sub-micron positioning and reproducible measurements. You will work on high precision optics in both laser optics and the microscopy field. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team, our engineering partners, and vendors to bring the first commercial generation of our precision instruments to market.
Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of TU Munich, QD leverages quantum sensors to rapidly capture three-dimensional current maps within multi-layer chips. Our 30-strong team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists works side by side with major semiconductor manufacturers, helping them in chip debugging and accelerating their yield analysis. Backed by top-tier deep tech investors, semiconductor experts, and strategic public programmes, we have ensured long-term stability, shifting from breakthrough to scale - and shaping the next chapter in chip testing.
