A private equity firm based in Berlin is seeking an Investment Associate to evaluate and manage investment opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid grasp of corporate finance, and excellent communication abilities. The role involves conducting detailed analyses, supporting portfolio management, and contributing to fundraising efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about private equity investing and value creation.
As an Investment Associate in Private Equity, you will play a central role in the evaluation, execution, and management of investment opportunities across diverse industries. Working closely with senior investment professionals, you will contribute to the entire deal lifecycle—from sourcing and due diligence to financial modeling, transaction structuring, and portfolio value creation. Your analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and financial acumen will support the team’s mission to generate superior returns through disciplined investing and active portfolio management.
In this position, you will conduct detailed financial and operational analyses of target companies, including reviewing business models, assessing market dynamics, and identifying key value drivers. You will build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment scenarios, returns, and sensitivities. Through close collaboration with management teams and advisors, you will participate in due diligence processes, including financial, legal, and commercial assessments, ensuring each potential investment meets the firm’s strategic and risk criteria.
Beyond deal execution, you will support portfolio management by monitoring company performance, analyzing financial statements, and contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance value creation. This includes preparing performance updates, identifying operational improvements, and assisting in exit planning and execution. You will also contribute to fundraising efforts by preparing investment memoranda, market research reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
A Private Equity Associate must demonstrate intellectual curiosity, strong business judgment, and the ability to work in a dynamic, high-performance environment. You will be expected to think critically, communicate persuasively, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in every aspect of your work.
