We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Senior Fullstack Engineer (m/w/d) with the focus on the backend to support our ABOUT YOU Partner Portal onsite in Hamburg.

Our Purchasing Interface Team is the main system for the operational processes of our buying, procurement, private label & fotostudio business teams.

Technical stack: PHP, Laravel, Vue.js, TypeScript, AWS, redis, JIRA, git, Gitlab, inertia.js.

• Build high-traffic web applications with PHP (Laravel) & TypeScript (Vue 3)
• Build internal & external RESTful API as well as Background Jobs (peak times: > 1 million jobs per hour)
• Engage in decisions ranging from UI design to application architecture, together with the Lead Engineer, and explore new technologies
• Lead the technical conception of features that support a newly designed business process.
• Take full ownership of the features you build, from the initial code commit to ensuring they run smoothly in production. You’ll be responsible for their health, performance, and long-term maintainability.
• Ship code with confidence multiple times a day using our CI/CD Pipeline (Gitlab) to our hosting platform (AWS Elastic Container Service)
• Monitor applications with industry-standard tools (Datadog) through Dashboards & Alerting
• Learn from other developers in a highly skilled team and present your ideas in our regular Tech talks
• Join a pragmatic agile team that values shipping quality code over the full SCRUM ceremony

• Excellent coding skills in PHP 8 (Laravel)
• Experience in designing and implementing E2E, integration & unit tests
• In depth knowledge of the Vue 3 Framework
• Solid background in building complex and beautiful products which provide an excellent user experience
• Expertise in designing, securing, and scaling RESTful APIs
• Experience working with AWS, Git, Redis, or equivalent
• Hand-on Experience with relational database design & performance optimization (i. e. MySQL 8)
• Passionate about writing well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code, actively keeping the quality of the code base in check
• Ready to work in an English-speaking environment

  Working model:

  Due to the upcoming tasks and responsibilities for this position, it is required to work onsite at our headquarters in Hamburg or in our Berlin office on a weekly basis. Therefore we’ve implemented a hybrid working model that allows us to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays and to work onsite from Tuesday to Thursday.
