Job summary
Join Zalando Payments as a Frontend Software Engineer where you will develop engaging and secure payment experiences for customers. Skills
As a Frontend Software Engineer at Zalando Payments, you will plan, develop, test, and operate our core UX that allows our customers to pay in a secure and engaging fashion. Fashion retail imposes many interesting challenges on the payment experience that we address through tailored deferred payment options and other products. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining high-quality, responsive, and scalable frontend systems for our customer-facing web applications, primarily using React and TypeScript.
- Writing clean, modular, testable, and maintainable code that can be easily understood, evolved, and scaled.
- Collaborating effectively with product managers to refine requirements and with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes into user-friendly interfaces.
- Working closely with backend engineers to design and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, ensuring seamless data flow and performance.
- Participating in the entire product development lifecycle, taking ownership of features and their impact.
- Championing best practices, participating in code reviews, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identifying and solving complex technical challenges with a customer-centric approach.
