Financial Controller – Associate-level / 3+ years experience

I’m currently hiring for a Financial Controller to join a successful real estate asset management business in Berlin. This is an associate-level role, perfect for someone with around 3+ years of experience who wants to take ownership of financial operations within a lean, collaborative team.

• Overseeing cash management, forecasting, and repatriation of funds
• Liaising with tax advisors and managing VAT/tax compliance
• Reviewing budgets, financial results, and PM reports
• Supporting audits and coordinating with external accountancy providers
• Monitoring rent collection performance and KPIs with property managers
• Assisting on asset sales and acquisitions alongside the asset management team

• Degree-qualified with at least 3 years’ experience in finance/controlling, ideally from investment firms, Big 4, or fund administrators
• Real estate sector knowledge is a strong plus (but not essential)
• Strong Excel and reporting skills
• Fluent in German, with very good spoken and written English
• Someone proactive, reliable, and confident managing external advisors
