For our office in Zurich, we are looking for an
Equity Sales Trader (m/f/d)
The role of an Equity Sales Trader involves:
- Building and maintaining relationships with institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, pension funds, family offices, banks, and brokers
- Locating liquidity for large or less liquid securities
- Communicating trading ideas and interpreting investment opinions from Baader research reports to clients; conveying relevant market information in a timely manner
- Collaborating closely with Sales, Sales Trading, and Trading colleagues in Munich, London, Frankfurt, and New York
- Traveling frequently to meet clients
- Identifying new business opportunities and participating in marketing efforts, including trading conferences
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in finance or related field; relevant work experience is a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a financial institution
- Knowledge of financial markets, especially European markets, and current affairs
- Strong network of existing clients in Switzerland, ideally including local family offices
- Ability to pass regulatory exams
- Experience with market structure and infrastructure
- Understanding of client investment behavior
- Innovative problem-solving skills
- Customer-oriented, proactive, and team-oriented mentality
- Fluent in English and German; Swiss German is a plus
