In this role you will be responsible for:
• Providing support and optimizing existing network and WLAN infrastructures on a global scale.
• Collaborating with service providers to manage firewalls worldwide.
• Overseeing system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Planning and executing national and international IT projects, especially related to the implementation or transition of on-premise and cloud solutions in the network and security domains.
• Developing documentation and conducting training for the IT support team.
• Managing external service providers.
This role is hybrid two to three times a week in Paderborn.
Essential:
• Relevant degree e.g. Information Technology or Business Informatics
• Strong understanding of network topologies, protocols, and systems in LAN, WLAN, WAN, and security.
• Experience with next-generation firewalls
• Interest in virtual machines (VMware), Windows servers, and Azure Active Directory/Entra.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum C1 level German or above with a good knowledge of English
